Jungle Path Optimization — Clear Faster, Gank Sooner, Win More

By HOKMeta · Published 2026-01-15 · Updated 2026-08-07

The Standard Full Clear (and When to Use It)

The standard full clear: Red → Raptors → Wolves → Blue → Gromp → Krugs. This gets most junglers to level 4 at ~2:00-2:05.

Use this path when:
• You're playing a scaling jungler (Liu Bei, Athena).
• No lanes are gankable at level 3.
• You want to path toward the opposite side of the map from the enemy jungler.

Optimization tips:
• Use your abilities on cooldown. Don't save them.
• Kite camps toward your next destination. Every second of walking between camps adds up.
• Smite the buff at the start (for the buff effect) or the end (to secure it). Don't smite in the middle.

The Level 3 Gank Path (High Risk, High Reward)

The level 3 gank path: Red → Raptors → Gromp (with Smite). This gets you to level 3 at ~1:35 and lets you gank a lane before the enemy expects it.

Use this path when:
• You're playing an early-game jungler (Ying, Zilong).
• A lane has CC setup and the enemy is pushed.
• The enemy jungler started on the opposite side (you won't get counter-ganked).

Risk: if the gank fails, you're behind in farm. Only do this if the gank has a 70%+ chance of success.

Stats from Camp HOK international ranked (synced 2026-08-07), cross-checked against HoKStats.gg builds and counters. 国服 (王者荣耀) runs on a faster patch cycle with a larger hero pool and different ban culture — use CN guides for mechanics and combos, but draft off global win/pick/ban numbers on this site.
